best battery powered bike light image

I'm working on an art project project and need a small light just to add a back glow to a picture. Just need something that is battery powered, can provide a glow and will last a long time. Longest I've found was a bike tail light that lasted 150 hours before the battery ran out.
Answer
Hi Gideon,
I don't know of anything longer then the 150 hour one you found but what you can do is wire up a parallel battery pack.
By putting them in parallel the voltage remains the same but the capacity increases. Ten batteries in parallel would run 1500 hours or about 62 days.

Which uses more energy and runs out faster : A normal, non-flickering light, or a flickering, blinking light?

I have a bike safety light mounted at the front and it has 100 hours of battery power. I was wondering if I should have it flickering or non-flickering. I want to save energy so the light could last longer given its limited battery power.
Answer
A flickering light is going to need the extra electricity to move the electrons through the filament of the light bulb. I'd leave the light on. It'll also ensure that your bulb lasts longer as well.
