Does anyone know of an active place to discuss and learn more about electric motor design? Specificaly, pancake or hub motors commonly used on electric bikes and newer hybrid cars.

Will pairing two 36v electric wheel hub bikes together = 72v to go uphill?

If I pair two 36v electric wheel hub bikes together, with a frame of some sort, (a quad bike) will I get the equivalent of 72v to go uphill? These hills require 72v for electric bikes. Or will it be just two 36v bikes coming to a stop 1/4 the way up the hill? Is it like two batteries in parallel, or two batteries in Series??? Anybody?
