best electric bike for 1000 image
Jane L
We just bought a 1978 Goldwing and have some electric problems for our running lights and headlight. Any ideas what we should check? Also, someone messed with the rear lights and the pigtail is too short so it is very difficult to get it in and out. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Answer
On the headlight case, remove the 2 screws (5 & 7 o'clock #22)
Careful, don't loose the spacers #18
Pull the bottom of the headlight ring (#2) forward away from the bike.
Don't touch the glass of the halogen bulb.
The oils in your fingers will cause it to overheat and burn out.

Wires are to short - cut them and solder in some extensions.
Be more specific with your electrical problems.
Won't come on
Signals won't flash
Intermitent
Lights go out when high beam is turned on.
Etc.
It's like trying to solve a problem without knowing the question LOL

What kind of dirt bike should a beginner get? And what kind of gear should I get?

It's my first time buying a dirt bike, but i have no clue what brand to get. My friend said to get an automatic and he also said the size of the bike depends on my height. I'm 4ft 11in and i also need a list of the gear I'm gonna need.
Answer
if i was you i would check in to a yamaha tt-r125 it would be the perfect starter bike and i dont think they make a dirt bike automatic,at least ive never seen one but you would eventually have to learn a clutch and shifting gears anyway because the bigger bikes are all manual, the price of the tt-r125 is probably around 1200-2500 go to this website http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products/modelhome/238/0/home.aspx, around my area all the bikes are about 1000 bucks cheaper than what the website says o and this bike has an electric start on it which is kinda cool
all you really need is a helmet but here are the things you might want
a chest protector
knee pads
elbow pads
a padded jersey
some pants have a pocket on the inside that you slide pads into but if not those they have padding built in
and some riding boots, i dont like them because you cant move your ankle up or down check out rockymountainatv.com they have the cheapest prices on name brand stuff.
