my 5 yr old nephews bday is coming up and i want to get him a really cool gift, and was wondering how fast it would acturally go with a 45 lb person - 150 lbs., still 15mph? and for taller ppl is it harder, or uncomfortable to drive? also after the 45min of riding does it just cut off, or just starts going slower?
Answer
electric pocket bikes or the dirt bike lookin gones also don't even last 45 min. more like 20-30 because it all depends on terrain and weight, it'll only go 15mph and with a heavier person it'll go slower, 150 pound rider would make it go slower about 10mph, it's an electric motor it's not going to be the best for anything, the batterys take forever to charge also, it'll be a cool gift but they'll hate that they only get to ride it a short while.

Is the x9 pocket bike gas or electric?
Maada
Answer
Gas.
shawn, none of the X bikes can be made street legal. Carefully check your state laws.
Don't misinform people if you can help it.
Actual law in my state:
"265:123-a Operation Prohibited. â No person shall operate a pocket bike upon any way or allow a pocket bike owned by him or her to be operated upon any way. No pocket bike shall be issued a vehicle registration or certificate or title. "
And the guy who sells it must tell you so:
"265:123-b Disclosure to Purchaser. â Every seller of pocket bikes shall provide a written disclosure to buyers at the time of purchase that advises buyers that their existing insurance policies may not provide coverage for these devices and that they should contact their insurance agent or company to determine if coverage is provided. Such disclosure shall also advise buyers that the devices are not legal for operation upon public ways.
A pocket bike is a toy, not a real motorcycle, no matter how much it looks like one or how the advertising tries to deceive you. They ARE legal, legally toys.
